What is Patreon and who are patrons?
Patreon is a service that allows you to get rewarded for supporting your favorite content creators. When you pledge your support to a creator through Patreon, you become their patron, and you get access to bonus content and other rewards.
The content on this website was created almost entirely in my spare time. Producing quality, well-researched videos and articles isn’t easy—a single video may represent weeks or even months of work.
My patrons are everyday people who’ve decided supporting that work is important to them. They pledge a monthly or annual amount through Patreon, and as a thank you, I give them extra little bonuses like behind-the-scenes updates, early access to new videos, and exclusive content I’m not able to make public.
How does someone become a patron?
You just go to my Patreon page and sign up. That’s all there is to it.
What rewards do patrons get?
My Patreon page lists all the current rewards, which may change from time to time. But really, don’t do it for the rewards. I offer them as a way to say thanks to folks for supporting my work, but my goal is to make all the important stuff free for anyone; I don’t want anyone to feel like they’re missing out if they don’t become patrons.
If you want to show your support and are able to do so, I’d certainly love your patronage and appreciate you tremendously. The rewards are just an expression of my gratitude.
